India's Ace percussionist and Rhythm Master Taufiq Qureshi has pioneered a whole new trend and distinct technique by playing the African Instrument Djembe in the context of Indian Intricate Rhythms, in his own path breaking way, which has inspired a whole new breed of percussion in India. Being the son and disciple of the legendary. Ustad Allarakha and brother of the maestro Ustad Zakir Hussain he is the worthy torchbearer of a rich legacy of percussion. A one of kind Mentor, over the past 15 years he has trained deserving students who he has groomed into professionals, who are now making their own mark and carrying forward his work.

Under the Mentor Lead Course at TFR he is responsible for additional in-class student support, revisions , guidance and ensuring each student's progress within the training period.

I want to learn but I don't have an instrument. How can I enrol?
If you currently don't have a Djembe, but wish to start the course, you can check out and for the time being use any of the following available items (Steel box, Bucket, Any solid Box, An instrument besides a djembe, Cajon etc) till we can assist you with the instrument.
I am a Tabla Player. Can I enrol?
Taufiq Qureshi's course is designed wherein students learn the tabla repertoire and the intricate indian rhythm patterns on the Djembe, the style which he has pioneered. As a Tabla player you can surely enrol although Tabla as learning the instrument is not part of this Percussion course.
Will I actually get a chance to interact and learn with Taufiq Qureshi?
Yes! This is not a pre-recorded video course. This is a Mentor Lead Course, where the Mentor is present, live in class and training online, for a stipulated amount of time. The more you progress in the course, the more time you gain with the Mentor.
